Buenas tardes! I just got back from another mini tour of some other important sites to see in Salamanca. The first place we stopped was La Casa de las Conchas, or the House of Shells, which is actually a public library. We also saw the residences of Nebrija (1441-1522) who was the first author of spanish grammar, and Unamuno (1864-1936) who was also an author and rector of the University. As I was walking back home after the tour with Jen, we noticed that this old church was open and it is usually closed, so we went inside. It's Jen's favorite church because it's imperfect looking inside...It survived an earthquake 100's of years ago.
Today the weather was a little cooler with some breeze! Oh yeah, and yesterday for lunch I tried real typical Spanish Paella with seafood. It was good!
Hasta luego...
